Aap Ka Manoranjan has been part of the New England
South Asian community for 14 years. It all started back in 1993, with
the start of Aap Ka Manoranjan Television, where host Arsh Mehrotra
brought quality South Asian programming each and every week to its
viewers. With the support and encouragement of its loyal fans, Aap Ka
Manoranjan has grown to be the leading South Asian entertainment
company in New England, bringing quality entertainment all across the
region.
In addition to producing a widely popular weekly television show, Aap
Ka Manoranjan ventured into the concert industry, by promoting and
sponsoring live events such as: Madhuri Dixit Live in Concert (1995),
Rangeele Dilwale Live in Concert (1996), featuring Shah Rukh Khan and
Aamir Khan, Pankaj Udhas Live in Concert (1997), Singer Abhijeet
(1998) Live in Concert, Asha Bhonsle Live in Concert (1998), Mega
Millennium Live in Concert (1999), featuring Aamir Khan, Aishwariya
Rai, Akshaye Khanna, Twinkle Khanna and Rani Mukherjee and Daler
Mehndi with Karisma Kapoor Live in Concert. In addition to live
concerts, we have also promoted and sponsored plays, such as: Khel
(2000), starring Paresh Rawal & Nasiruddin Shah, Shaadi@Barbaadi.com
(2 times in 2001), starring Paresh Rawal, Adnan Sami live in concert
featuring Amisha Patel, Sunidhi Chauhan etc; Rockstars 2006 featuring
Salman Khan, John Ibraham, shahid Kaprro, kareena Kapoor and
host of big stars including but no limited to Ghulam Ali live in
concert, Jagjit Singh live in concert and Hemchandra live in concert.
The list is too long.
In 1996, Aap Ka Manoranjan leased out the Regent Theater in Arlington,
MA, just 10 min outside of Boston. By dubbing this theater the "Bombay
Cinema", Aap Ka Manoranjan created a virtual brand name that
phenomenally changed the South Asian scene in Boston. For the first
time, there was a permanent place for Indian movies. Each and every
weekend, Aap Ka Manoranjan screened World Premiere releases at the Bombay Cinema in
Arlington. The Regent Theater was a great home for the Bombay Cinema
from 1996 - 2001, but as times changed and the demand for more Indian
movies increased, Aap Ka Manoranjan needed something that would
accommodate even more movies at better timings. The answer lay in the
Allston Bombay Cinema. Previously occupied by Showcase Cinemas, the
Allston Bombay Cinema was born, it had two screens and offered Hindi movies 7 days
a week. Almost one and half year later the property housing Allston
theater was sold to Staples and we moved to a
more central Somerville Theater in Davis Square, where Bombay Cinema
started screening World Premiere releases week-after-week
7 days a week. after 2years there we we moved 2 miles over to
Entertainment cinemas under new management at Fresh Pond Plaza
in Cambridge, Ma. Presently we release movies in multiple prints
regularly at Fresh Pond and Showcase Cinemas in Lawrence, MA.
Both are convenient to reach and have ample parking spaces.
As Aap Ka Manoranjan grows, we are continuously trying to reinvent
ourselves as the leader in South Asian Entertainment. We depend on the
support that all of you have so graciously given us in the past. We
hope that you will visit us at the our theaters
and make it your regular home for Indian movies in New England!. |
